Four helpful hints to encourage your Astro mobile to turn : 1) Keep the support line as long as possible. 2) Try pulling the support line slightly off centre at the point where the it is attached to the hook. 3) We find that the price label attached to the Astro acts as a sail. Maybe you could attach something similar to facilitate its motion? 4) At shows, the public cannot resist turning the mobile, thus creating a lot of twist in the support line. This then keeps it moving for quite a while.
So, you could either:
A) Place the Astro where people pass regularly, e.g., near a door or much frequented passage.
or
B) For an instant result, "wind up" the Astro yourself for a minute or two - your friends will be delighted and impressed with the resulting ten minutes of bewitching movement! Afterwards they won't be able to resist turning the Astro again, so repeating the process...
